Co-Organizer: International WOOD MARKETS Group, Vancouver, BC & Beijing, China

This international conference will assess China’s increasing requirements for softwood logs, lumber and wood
products to fill the widening gap between its expanding demand and the potential domestic and import supply.
The conference will focus on the various supply sources, the end uses of softwood products, where the supply
options are likely to come from, and why the potential of growing softwood shortages looms in China. A forum
of international softwood log and lumber sellers will be held with Chinese buyers and channel intermediaries.
It is the first time a softwood conference has been organized in China and the reasons are very apparent:
China’s role in global trade continues to surge and the ripple effect in all markets continues to be felt from
China’s surging demand for raw materials and wood products.
Further Speaker Details: To be confirmed in July
In conjunction with the conference, a mini-trade show featuring table-top displays of buyers and sellers will be
featured.

China Int'l Wood Products Summit 2007,

Our fourth premier conference, focused on millwork and wood-panel products, is the event of the year for exporters, importers and others who are serious about finding their business fit with China. This year we will also uncover the current status and future implications of fast-growing plantations in China — how big a factor will they be in driving future Chinese wood products exports? Conference Proceedings
Our best China conference ever, with top Chinese speakers and a strong contingent of international speakers, has just been completed, October 28 – 29, 2006! Over 220 international and Chinese delegates attended, with the conference being enriched by 40 table-top displays from Chinese and international manufacturers and organizations. The venue was first class and the conference received an overall rating from delegates of 5 out of a possible 6 points.
We had a good number of first time visitors to China this year, who gained an in-depth understanding of the market and wood industry in China, both from an importer’s and exporter’s perspective. The next wave of product and market opportunities covered during the conference were provided within the context of the many speaker presentations and product displays.
The delegate survey indicated that many participants would like to attend another conference in China next year. As a result, we are planning our 4th annual China conference in the fall of 2007. Please watch for our brochure and promotional material in the upcoming months.
Conference proceedings, complete with speaker presentations and available panel discussion presentations, are available now.
